Teaching Kindergarten and Grade 1 students to read in French is both exciting and challenging. Phonemic Awareness and phonics skills are foundational reading skills. French Science of Reading research was kept in mind while creating this resource.
Phonological Awareness provides a strong foundation for early reading success. This resource is aimed to help students learn to read in French by teaching them one skill at a time to help build their phonemic awareness. Students with a strong phonemic awareness are much more likely to be successful readers.
This Phonemic Awareness Kit is designed to make teaching phonological/phonemic skills fast, fun and effective. This kit can be used for:
- Beginning Readers
- Struggling Readers
- Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2
