French Back to School Resources

I did the research so that you don’t have to! I’ve created a list of French back to school resources that you need if you teach Primary French Immersion. These resources are perfect for preparing for la rentrée. Are you feeling stressed out about returning to school? Check out this link to my blog post about 5 tips to help reduce stress for back to school.

French Emergent Readers: September: This is a set of 4 emergent readers for your classroom. They are patterned texts, so they are great for early readers. Students will love reviewing French Back to School vocabulary with these mini books!

Phrases fantastiques – La rentrée: I love Mme Andrea’s Phrases Fantastiques. I bought the whole bundle years ago and love using it in Kindergarten and Grade 1. It comes with sentence stems and a bunch of vocabulary words for la rentrée.

Back to School Literacy Centres: This is a bundle of 10 centres for your classroom. Students will learn French Back to School vocabulary by completing these centres filled with word work, reading and writing activities.

French Back-to-School Activities Booklet: This is a set of 11 activities for la rentrée by French Frenzy. These are great for upper primary or junior students. These activities are great to use as as ice breakers as well as reflecting on the upcoming year.

French Back to School Guide: This guide is perfect if you’re stressed out about going back to school. It goes through many aspects of getting ready for the school year such as: setup, routines, literacy block, math block and much more. There are also First Day of School activities included! Perfect to make la rentrée less stressful and more organized.

French Back-to-school Reading Comprehension: This is a great set of reading comprehension pages by For French Immersion. It comes with 15 different pages (2 versions) and are great for Grade 2 or Grade 3 French Immersion. I love that these include a cut and paste activity as well as a couple comprehension questions at the end.

I’ve also created a few Free French Back to School activities that I want to share with you! Simply pop in your information in the box below and you’ll receive them straight to your inbox. One is great for Kindergarten and Grade 1 while the other activity is better for Grade 2 and Grade 3.
